Lead the department’s overall operations in underwriting, ensuring all standards and guidelines are met
Develop strategic operational plans to enhance productivity and efficiency throughout the underwriting department
Collaborate with other department heads to synchronize operations and align with the company’s business goals
Implement and monitor robust risk management frameworks to safeguard against potential risks and losses
Manage and oversee the underwriting team, providing training and development to enhance their skills and performance
Regularly analyze and report on operational activities, progress, and challenges to the senior management team
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in underwriting processes and insurance broking operations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a skilled team
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
Proven ability to implement and manage operational changes effectively
Superb communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
