Responsibilities
Represent creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy cases, adequate protection motions, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings
Prepare and file proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, objections to plans, and other bankruptcy pleadings
Conduct legal research, draft briefs, and provide strategic advice to clients
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary
Advise clients on bankruptcy strategy, risk assessment, and recovery options
Collaborate with partners and other team members on complex cases
Manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in TX; eligibility for reciprocity or admission in other jurisdictions is a plus
Knowledge of bankruptcy law experience, with an emphasis on creditor representation
Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, rules, and related litigation
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Representation of lenders, financial institutions, or other secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy or insolvency matters, including creditor committees
Familiarity with commercial litigation and workout scenarios
Experience with electronic filing systems and bankruptcy court procedures
