Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, processing, and verification of payroll information for hourly and salaried employees in compliance with company policies
Maintain accurate payroll records by entering employee information, deductions, and tax data
Assist with reconciling payroll reports, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and time reporting
Maintain payroll files and documentation in accordance with retention and confidentiality requirements
Generate routine payroll reports for management, accounting, and HR as needed
Qualification
Required
Understanding of payroll processes, deductions, and tax withholdings
Strong accuracy and thoroughness when reviewing and entering payroll data
Familiarity with accounting principles related to payroll and general ledger entries
Knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations, including FLSA and tax requirements
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized records
Capable of identifying discrepancies and working to resolve payroll issues efficiently
Strong commitment to handling sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion
Clear verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with employees and internal teams
