QA Specialist
Quest Diagnostics is a leading provider of diagnostic information services. They are seeking a QA Specialist to provide quality assurance support for the Rapid Response Labs, assist with proficiency testing investigations, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities
Provide QA support for the Rapid Response Labs in the SE region
Assist labs with Proficiency Testing investigations and write-ups of unacceptable results
Support for other incident investigations, process improvement activities, and root cause analysis
Provide inspection assistance, including remediation of citations
Participate in onsite inspections across the region with the Internal Inspection Team and individually
Perform Document Control of procedures and forms, as needed
Work with other QA Specialists and management in the region on special projects, as assigned
Conduct monthly QA meetings for the Rapid Response Labs
Provide training to RRL staff, as needed, on QA processes
Perform periodic visits to RRLs, as assigned
Serve as a licensure coordinator for regional licenses
Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, as needed
Maintain and grow expertise for quality standards for applicable accrediting agencies (COLA, CAP, state)
Stay current on technical methods, Quest processes, and changing eQMS systems
Participate in national meetings, continuing education sessions, etc., as assigned
Assist other team members to fill in temporary gaps in coverage, as assigned
Demonstrate flexibility, independent problem-solving, strong communication skills, teamwork, integrity, respect, and initiative
Attend all QA team and regional meetings, via Teams or in person
25 to 50% travel, which may vary from month to month, depending on business needs within the region

Qualification
Required
At least three years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
Competency management and technical training
Laboratory regulation/accreditation
MLS National certification is required
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Must be willing to travel within the region up to 50%, as business needs require
Knowledge of laboratory regulations
PC application skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access
Preferred
Previous experience in QA, Risk Management, or Compliance preferred
