Assistant CAM (Operations Manager)
Leland Management is a leading community management company in Central Florida, seeking an Assistant CAM (Operations Manager) to oversee operations in a vibrant resort-style community. The role involves operational oversight, community management, staff supervision, compliance, and financial management to ensure exceptional service and smooth day-to-day functions.

Responsibilities
Oversee key operational services such as Landscaping, Security, Valet Trash Services, Waste Management, and Tiki Bar operations
Conduct regular inspections and ensure the effective delivery of services by vendors, identifying issues, trends, and corrective actions using sound judgment and critical thinking
Supervise daily activities of the Concierge Team (5+ staff), Maintenance Team, and Clubhouse Manager
Provide oversight for Tiki Bar operations, ensuring service standards, operational efficiency, and proactive problem resolution
Focus on short-term rental property dynamics and manage operational responsibilities to ensure smooth day-to-day functions
Analyze maintenance, safety, and compliance issues, evaluate solutions, and work with contractors for repairs and improvements
Manage security, amenity access, and parking procedures for short-term rental guests, applying critical thinking to resolve conflicts and operational challenges
Attend committee meetings, including Design Review Committee (DRC), and assist with scheduling, reviewing applications, and ensuring alignment with HOA guidelines through thoughtful analysis and interpretation of governing documents
Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate staff to maintain operational efficiency and accountability
Enforce SOPs, identify process improvements, and maintain high standards of customer service through independent judgment and critical thinking
Ensure adherence to HOA governing documents, Florida statutes, and rental regulations by interpreting requirements and applying them appropriately
Manage risk mitigation and violations protocols, assessing situations and determining appropriate courses of action
Be available 24/7 for after-hours emergencies to evaluate situations quickly and address operational issues promptly
Assist with budget management related to operational services
Monitor vendor performance, expenses, and operational trends to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service
Act as the primary liaison between residents, guests, property managers, and vendors
Resolve concerns by assessing facts, considering impacts, and implementing fair and effective solutions
Provide regular updates to the General Manager on operational issues, risks, and performance
Qualification
Required
Exceptional leadership, organizational, project management, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with residents, guests, board members, staff, and vendors
Ability to assess operational issues, identify root causes, and implement practical, compliant solutions
Proficiency with Caliber Software, Microsoft Office Suite, work order systems, and design tools for creating newsletters and flyers
Availability to work weekends and after hours as needed
Experience in cash management, inventory control, and food and beverage operations
Ability to obtain a Notary License and Food Safety Certification
Availability for emergency response 24/7
Active Florida CAM License
Minimum 1 year as a Licensed Community Association Manager
At least 2 years of experience in operations management within a short-term rental or resort environment
Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations effectively while exercising independent judgment and critical thinking
