Cypress HCM is seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Analyst to support contract review, revenue recognition, billing, and month-end close activities. This role involves collaborating with FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
Perform month-end close activities related to revenue recognition
Review variance reports and validate deferred and unbilled revenue balances
Prepare and support revenue-related journal entries
Process client invoices and maintain accurate supporting documentation
Partner with FP&A to analyze revenue and forecast variances
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and account reconciliation issues
Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audit requests
Assist with ad hoc projects, reporting, and accounting inquiries as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or equivalent experience
Experience working in a corporate accounting environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and cross-functionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

Experience with billing and revenue recognition
Experience with Oracle or other large-scale ERP systems
Prior experience in software, construction, or retail industries
