Responsibilities
Design, implement, and document real-time measurement and control software for automated equipment
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and measurement sensors
Ensure all systems meet customer requirements and BTI quality standards
Lead machine power-ups at BTI or customer sites, guiding technicians and machine builders through debugging, setup, and qualification
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, or six years of relevant experience and/or training
Skilled in developing software using C#, Visual Basic, C++, or similar languages
Familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Familiar with PLC- and PC-based control systems, including motion control
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of solving complex problems under tight deadlines
Flexible and willing to travel up to 10% to support our clients and projects
Preferred
Hands-on experience in industrial automation, test systems, or measurement systems
Experience developing PC-based applications that integrate with industrial controls
Ability to independently take ownership of a project from concept through on-site deployment and commissioning
Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills, especially in dynamic factory or lab environments
