The Lab Assistant Intern will support microbiological testing in a pharmaceutical GMP environment, gaining hands-on experience in regulated laboratory operations, including sterility testing and microbial analysis.

Responsibilities
Assist with sample preparation and support testing such as Microbial Limits (USP <61>, <62>), Sterility (USP <71>), and Endotoxin (USP <85>)
Prepare and verify culture media and perform basic microbiological techniques (e.g., Gram staining)
Support Environmental Monitoring in ISO-classified cleanrooms
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment under supervision (e.g., incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets)
Document activities in compliance with GMP/GLP and LIMS requirements
Follow SOPs and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Microbiology or Biology with a microbiology emphasis
Basic understanding of aseptic technique, culture handling, and pharmacopoeial methods
Ability to work in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred
Preferably in junior or senior year of study
