Qualification
Required
At least one year experience for the relatively new position
5+ years experience for the more experienced examiner
Ability to investigate and handle personal auto claims and complex commercial auto bodily injury claims
Familiarity with NYS comparative negligence rules
Ability to handle claims that are generally litigated in the New York State courts
Strong organizational skills
Good writing skills
Ability to maintain complete documentation of everything that transpires in a case
Good communication skills with colleagues and adversaries
Articulate and able to discuss situations in a clear and convincing manner, both in person and over the phone
