Responsibilities

Lead and execute systems engineering activities across the system lifecycle (requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation)
Translate mission and operational needs into clear, testable system requirements
Support system architecture development, trade studies, and technical decision-making
Interface directly with DoD customers to provide technical insight, recommendations, and briefings
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, test, and operations)
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
Contribute to technical documentation, reviews, and program milestones
Operate independently while supporting broader program objectives

Required

7+ years of systems engineering experience, preferably supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs
Active TS/SCI clearance (required at time of hire)
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and best practices
Experience working directly with government customers and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage technical complexity in high-stakes environments

Preferred

Experience with space systems, defense platforms, or mission-critical systems
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and lifecycle frameworks
