Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize networking protocol software and core infrastructure systems
Work deeply in C/C++ (80% of the role) to solve complex, low-level networking challenges
Contribute to high-performance systems supporting large-scale network infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex networking requirements into robust, scalable solutions
Take ownership of projects end-to-end — from design and coding to testing and deployment
Mentor junior engineers and help set technical standards as the team grows
Qualification
Required
6+ years of networking engineering experience
True network infrastructure engineering or networking protocol software experience (not general IT)
Deep experience in C/C++ (non-negotiable)
Strong fundamentals in networking concepts, protocols, and distributed systems
High ownership mindset with energy to execute fast
Intellectual curiosity — willing to dig into complex technical problems and find solutions
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical decisions
Preferred
Experience with Rust or Go preferred but not required
Ideally from top-tier networking, infrastructure, or systems companies
Extended stints in previous roles (2+ years per role preferred)
