Senior Training Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering and technical support across acquisition, development, sustainment, modernization, and training systems for USAF programs
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) with OSS&E analysis, requirements development, and technical decision support
Review and analyze Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), RFVs, configuration baselines, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), technical interchange meetings, design reviews, IPRs, and program reviews
Translate operational needs into system and subsystem requirements; support architecture development and technical trade studies
Support full system lifecycle activities including integration, reliability, maintainability, supportability, cost, schedule, and risk analyses
Support development and evaluation of IMPs, IMSs, SEDS, engineering cost estimates, and risk management in accordance with AFI 63-101
Support system and training device test planning, test readiness reviews, acceptance testing, and certification activities
Provide training systems engineering support including simulation systems, hardware/software integration, distributed mission operations, and information assurance accreditation
Develop, review, and manage technical documentation, program briefings, data items, and records in compliance with DoD and Air Force policies
Other duties as assigned

Required

Must be US Citizen
Must have an active Secret Clearance
Master's degree in Engineering and 10 years of experience
Or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 12 years of experience
Or 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications
Experience supporting DoD or USAF acquisition or sustainment programs
Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management
Experience with requirements development, technical reviews, and configuration management
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
