Responsibilities
Managing the engineering schedule
Developing conceptual system designs
Creating equipment manifests
Selecting specific equipment and materials
Procuring materials through the creation of requisitions and securing bids
Organizing, creating, and reviewing installation drawings
Providing engineering support on-site or over the phone
Ensuring the completeness of all mechanical project documentation
Adhering to customer and governing agency specifications
Leading and managing a team of in-house or subcontracted designers to support the creation of installation drawings and other tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience required
(3+) years of experience in material handling equipment design for parcel or distribution and fulfillment, or (2+) years of experience leading mechanical engineering project teams
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Knowledgeable and experienced with Autodesk suite - AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, Recap, Navisworks, and BIM
Passionate about the development of team members and facilitating a cohesive team environment
Ability to think critically, prioritize tasks, and creatively solve problems
Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite. – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
