Associate Director of FP&A

Hire Point Recruiting is seeking an Associate Director of Accounting & Finance who will lead core financial operations and support strategic decision-making across the business. This role involves overseeing accounting activities, financial reporting, and FP&A support while working closely with senior leadership on budgeting and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement
Oversee GL accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and accruals
Ensure compliance with GAAP and support technical accounting research and implementation
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
Develop financial reporting packages including variance analysis and KPI tracking
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance, margin drivers, and operational trends
Assist with scenario modeling, investment analysis, and cost optimization initiatives
Serve as a strategic partner to Operations, Sales, HR, and Executive Leadership
Drive financial visibility and reporting across departments to support decision-making
Support systems enhancements, ERP upgrades, and process automation initiatives
Manage and mentor accounting/finance staff; support resource planning and career development
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or FP&A
Strong GAAP knowledge and experience in a corporate accounting environment
Experience working with ERP systems and BI/reporting tools
Proven ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required

Preferred

CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Experience in CPG, Manufacturing, Technology, Food & Beverage, or related industries preferred
