Responsibilities

Define and implement end-to-end data architecture across OLTP and analytical workloads using Azure SQL/MI, Databricks/Delta Lake, ADLS, Synapse/Fabric, and Power BI semantic models
Build ERP/SAP financial interfaces with idempotency, reconciliation, traceability, and robust rollback/de-duplication strategies
Govern schema evolution, versioning, and ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) to maintain performance and prevent regressions
Establish SLOs mapped to customer SLAs, implement monitoring, alerts, and continuous improvement processes
Lead and mentor a team of DB engineers, set standards, and ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence
Collaborate closely with Product, BI, and Projects teams to shape domain models that meet demanding customer reporting and analytics needs

Required

15+ years in data/database engineering; 5–8+ years owning data architecture for customer-facing SaaS or analytics at enterprise scale
Hands-on expertise with Azure SQL/MI, Databricks/Delta Lake, ADLS, Synapse/Fabric; deep understanding of SQL, partitioning/indexing, query plans, CDC, caching, and schema versioning
Experience designing BI mirrors, ILM/archival strategies, and performance-optimized analytics pipelines
Strong track record in ERP/SAP financial integrations, ensuring audit-ready systems and SLO compliance
Proven experience in observability, monitoring, and incident management for data platforms
Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding a data engineering team, defining standards, and driving reliability improvements

Preferred

Power BI performance modeling, semantic technologies, vector stores, or AI orchestration experience
