Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices
Build and manage Kafka producers and consumers for high-volume event processing
Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, etc.)
Implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native best practices
Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
(Optional) Support integrations with rule engines or decisioning platforms

Required

5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
2+ years of experience with Apache Kafka
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred

Experience with rule engines or decisioning platforms (e.g., IBM ODM, Drools, Camunda DMN)
Kubernetes, service mesh, and observability/monitoring tools
Prior experience working on large-scale, distributed systems
Support integrations with rule engines or decisioning platforms
