Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, networks, and related hardware and software
Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime
Implement and maintain security controls to protect systems and company data
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
Oversee system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
Deploy and maintain software applications, patches, and updates
Assist with IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
Provide timely technical support and issue resolution for end users
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and system components
Work directly with vendors to troubleshoot issues and evaluate products and services
Adhere to strict information security standards and best practices
Occasional travel to client sites as needed (less than 5%)
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
Experience using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
Experience with VOIP platforms
Experience with Cisco Meraki environments
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Excellent troubleshooting and multitasking abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. (occasional equipment handling)
Experience working in an MSP environment using ticketing, documentation, and RMM tools (e.g., Syncro or similar platforms) is a plus
Preferred
5+ years of system administration experience
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, MCSA, CISSP, or similar
