SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Category Management Intern to support supplier strategy and purchasing operations. The intern will gain hands-on exposure by working closely with Category Managers and Replenishment Teams, with the potential for post-graduate opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support market and supplier analysis while tracking product and category performance

Assist in evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, lead time, and reliability

Help benchmark competitor pricing, product offerings, and service levels

Analyze sales, inventory turnover, and margin performance by product category to identify high-performing and underperforming SKUs

Collaborate cross-functionally with Category Managers and Replenishment Teams to align category plans

Support supplier negotiations by providing pricing and volume data

Provide insight into regional strategies and operating parameters

Actively enrolled in a university, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field by Spring 2027

Minimum GPA of 3.2

Candidates must have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, reliable transportation, and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Must successfully pass criminal and driving background checks and a pre-employment drug test

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus

Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and involvement in school or work settings

Strong computer, communication, organization, and time management skills

Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Analytical mindset with interest in data-driven decision making

Clear and confident verbal communication skills

Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn
