Responsibilities

Research Management: Assist in overseeing the research team’s daily activities, ensuring unbiased, high-quality ratings and reports
Data Collection & Analysis: Lead evaluation of financial data across banking, insurance, and investment sectors to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Report Development: Collaborate with analysts to create clear, actionable, and unbiased reports trusted by consumers and professionals
Risk Assessment: Provide insights into safety and risk factors associated with financial institutions and investment products
Quality Control: Ensure all reports meet Weiss Ratings’ rigorous standards of accuracy and reliability
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide analysts, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with marketing and product development teams to integrate research outputs into broader initiatives
Client Insights: Partner with business development teams to tailor research products to client needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial research, data analysis, or related areas, ideally within banking, insurance, or investment sectors
Strong understanding of financial risk assessment and market trends
Excellent analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and quantitative analysis
Proven ability to lead and mentor research teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data clearly
Proficiency in financial databases and analytics tools such as Excel, R, or Python

Preferred

Master's degree or CFA is a plus
