Responsibilities

Scheduling courses

Assigning teaching spaces

Coordinatization of course and curriculum changes

Creates and manages the department website

Manages listservs, email accounts, Teams and SharePoint sites

Handles advisor assignment and change of major/minor for undergraduate students

Assists in grad student recruitment activities, including visits, interviews, etc

Assists with event planning, including annual welcome, department retreat, and end-of-year celebration; weekly seminar socials; and other department-related events such as retirement parties

Coordinates maintenance requests

Manages department van

Keeps office stocked with supplies

Assists with special projects as needed

Required

Associate's degree and three years' related experience

Ability to communicate effectively, particularly in writing

Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask

Bachelor's degree

General ease with technology and experience with the Microsoft Office suite

Experience with website management and/or UVM systems and software

Strong interpersonal skills
