Co-Op, Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering team on the development of shoulder-fired munitions and precision fire systems
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, program management, the chief engineer, and additional functions to accomplish assigned tasks
Support design, development, and production activities for cutting-edge weapon systems
Work on projects relevant to aerospace and defense systems
Gain hands-on experience in weapon systems engineering
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program with a major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Completion of Sophomore year or above
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be able to work in a dynamic and technically challenging environment
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
Hands-on experience with machining, 3D printing, or automotive repair
Previous aerospace or defense work/experience is a plus
Demonstrates a growth mindset, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to accept and implement constructive feedback
