Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to develop, manage, and direct the sales team and related sales activities within the region
Represent the company with customers, industry-related associations, federal, state and local government agencies
Confers with the sales representatives to develop sales objectives for market areas and recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers; introduces new and existing customers to new product lines to promote growth of market share
Responsible for leading sales group in identifying, working with and tracking projects in the early stage of development through completion
Negotiates pricing with customers while maintaining relationships
Forecasts short and long term sales volumes. Monitors and reports market conditions and their possible effects on the company
Analyzes market segments and positions sales volumes to achieve a diverse and stable customer base while maintaining overall market position
Works with the credit department to help resolve major problems or credit issues with delinquent accounts
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
Other duties or special projects as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in business management, sales/marketing, construction management, or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of five years of sales experience desired
Strong and effective communicator, strong analytical skills; and ability to manage, implement, and adapt to change
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
Must be willing to reside within the region of responsibility
