10+ years expOzell Services is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide onsite Construction Management support for a large VA Electronic Health Record Modernization infrastructure project at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. This role involves technical oversight, coordination, quality assurance, and schedule/cost oversight during the construction process within a medical facility.

Responsibilities
Provide onsite senior-level technical oversight during construction of EHRM infrastructure upgrades
Review construction documents, drawings, specifications, and submittals for technical compliance
Support constructability reviews, phasing plans, and coordination to minimize impacts to hospital operations
Monitor construction activities for quality, safety, and conformance with contract documents
Assist with schedule reviews, identification of delays, and coordination with the CM and COR
Support change order evaluations, cost estimates, and documentation for Government review
Participate in progress meetings, site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings
Identify deficiencies, conflicts, or ambiguities and communicate findings clearly to Government stakeholders
Maintain accurate documentation and support reporting requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of experience in design and construction within active medical or healthcare facilities
Demonstrated experience supporting VA Medical Center projects
Strong working knowledge of: VA Design Manuals, Specifications, and Technical Information Library (TIL)
Strong working knowledge of: Construction contract documents (drawings, specs, front-end)
Strong working knowledge of: Building codes, scheduling, and cost control
Ability to work full-time onsite in an active hospital environment
