EH&S and Facilities Manager
The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) is an organization focused on advancing technology and workforce training. The EH&S and Facilities Manager will oversee daily building operations and ensure a safe, compliant work environment while managing safety programs and facilities tasks.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate company-wide EH&S activities across three CCAT sites
Lead the monthly EH&S meetings, including preparing agendas and recording and distributing minutes
Serve as the primary liaison between the EH&S Safety Committee and the Executive team
Support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EH&S programs
Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety documentation as needed
Develop and deliver hands-on safety training modules under guidance from leadership
Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and hazard identification activities
Ensure organizational compliance with EH&S regulations, policies, and procedures
Lead assist in incident investigations, documenting findings, root causes, and recommended improvements
Coordinate evacuation and emergency procedures, including drills and real-time support
Stabilize or escalate unsafe conditions in partnership with Leadership, and Managers
Maintain documentation of incidents, near-misses, corrective actions, and safety communications
Support internal and external events by ensuring safety compliance, space set up and on-site safety coordination as needed
Adhere to all CCAT safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
Deactivate building security alarm and unlock building doors, the DTL, and Additive Lab
Perform maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs and hanging shelves
Assist external vendors and contractors with building inspections (sprinkler system, fire pulls)
Manage tenant concerns and service requests
Move, arrange, and assemble furniture to support office layouts and relocations, meetings, and event setups
Adhere to health and safety procedures
Assist with the coordination of evacuation and emergency procedures
Qualification
Required
3-5 years' experience in building/facilities support, maintenance, or custodial services and EH&S programs and emergency procedures
Basic computer skills, including document updates, tracking logs, and report preparation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Flexibility in working hours
Must fulfill ITAR citizenship requirements
Preferred
Experience supporting safety programs, inspections, or compliance tracking in a manufacturing, industrial, or lab environment preferred
Working knowledge of FARs and DFARs preferred
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, Office 365 a plus
