Responsibilities
Lead QE initiatives for commissions/incentive systems with a focus on BDD-driven test automation
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks in TypeScript and .NET
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to define acceptance criteria using Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then)
Develop and maintain reusable BDD test scenarios and step definitions
Drive end-to-end test strategy, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and data validation testing
Define and implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
Mentor and lead a team of QE engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce quality standards
Champion best practices in Test-Driven Development (TDD), shift-left testing, and continuous quality improvement
Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality releases
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in software testing/automation with at least 3+ years in a lead role
Proven experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Gauge
Strong programming and automation skills in TypeScript and .NET (C#)
Experience working in commissions, payroll, or incentive-based systems is a must
Solid understanding of CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and test management tools (like TestRail or Zephyr)
Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and database testing (SQL Server, Oracle)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for web automation in TypeScript
Familiarity with Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud/data platforms
ISTQB or equivalent certification in test automation or quality engineering
