Responsibilities

Provides and documents assistance to patients with mobility including transfers and ambulation, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Mobility Tech Supervisor

Works in collaboration with the Nursing Team, communicating with nursing prior to and following patient mobility activities

Assists in the provision of safe mobilization in a manner to promote the patient’s functional ability and lead to improved quality of life

Completes assigned, routine, non-treatment activities, which are pre-determined for each patient by the Mobility Tech program to maintain function and assist with mobility

Required

High School Diploma or GED, required

Completion Novant Health sponsored training program, required

Upon completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program, the mobility tech works within the guidelines of mobility program and Novant Health policies and procedures

Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills

Preferred

First Responder Certification, preferred

Basic computer skills for documentation

Pursuit of a healthcare profession
