Damco Solutions is seeking a SharePoint Developer to assist in migrating large volumes of legacy files from Shared Drives to SharePoint Online for a US Financial Services client. The role involves designing and building modern SharePoint solutions while ensuring data integrity and compliance during the migration process.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute migration of legacy files from Shared Drives to SharePoint Online

Use tools like ShareGate, AvePoint, or Metalogix for migration

Ensure proper metadata tagging, content organization, and retention policies

Validate migrated content for accuracy, permissions, and compliance

Build modern SharePoint solutions using SPFx, React/TypeScript, PnP libraries, CSOM/REST, and Graph API

Configure hubs, sites, lists/libraries, content types, metadata, and search experiences

Design workflows with Power Automate and/or Nintex; build Power Apps for forms and business processes

Integrate SharePoint with external systems (APIs, Azure Functions, web services)

Apply best practices for permissions, site provisioning, DLP, and retention

Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing solutions

Prepare documentation for migration plans, solution designs, and user guides

Required

2+ years hands-on SharePoint development (SharePoint Online preferred)

5–7 years overall IT/software development experience

Proven experience in large-scale file migrations from legacy systems or Shared Drives to SharePoint Online

SharePoint Online architecture, SPFx, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS

PnP JS, REST/CSOM, Microsoft Graph API

Power Automate, Power Apps, and familiarity with Power Platform connectors

Migration tools (ShareGate, AvePoint, Metalogix)

Basic .NET/C# and Azure services knowledge

Strong communication and stakeholder management

Ability to work in hybrid environment and manage complex migration projects

Must be US-based with valid work authorization

Availability to be onsite in New York, NY per hybrid schedule

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Teams integrations and Viva Connections

Knowledge of compliance frameworks for historical data

Microsoft certifications (MS-600, PL-400, AZ-204)
