They are seeking a Planning Systems Analyst to conduct analysis of supply chain planning activities, demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate planning data, including demand forecasts, inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain metrics, to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor planning performance, track inventory turnover, measure forecast accuracy, and pinpoint areas for improvement
Work with Demand Planners to analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to enhance forecast accuracy, supporting effective inventory and production planning
Assess inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock availability to recommend strategies that minimize excess inventory, reduce stockouts, and improve working capital efficiency
Provide analytical support for production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and operational goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in planning workflows, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance planning effectiveness
Proactively identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and innovation within the planning function, driving continuous improvement to boost efficiency and accuracy
Partner with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, procurement, operations, and finance teams, to gather requirements, share data insights, and support strategic initiatives that align with organizational objectives
Lead and develop metrics for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&IOP) processes to ensure alignment across production, sales, and supply chain, driving customer satisfaction

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Research, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or data analytics, preferably in a complex organization
Strong proficiency in planning and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAP, Epicor, or advanced planning systems) with the ability to manage and visualize large datasets
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Solid understanding of supply chain planning principles, demand forecasting methodologies, and inventory management best practices
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and leveraging data to drive strategic planning decisions

Preferred

Certification in supply chain planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) or data analytics is a plus
