Responsibilities

Be a key contributor to financial planning decisions and processes for the Sales Division

Play an ad-hoc systems support role, aiding in the education and training of sales personnel on our systems & processes: P&L management, expense & budget management, and generally translating complex financial reporting ideas into terms that our business owners can understand and take action against

Manage, refresh and publish key planning and financial status reports, including P&Ls, trade plans, event status reports, and others that track progress against enterprise KPIs. Use those reports to recommend adjustments and enable cross-functional partners to take appropriate actions when necessary

Be the primary conduit for aligning sales teams’ volume forecasts with demand planning

Assist with the development of sales and promotion plans that support different retailer strategies

Support the financial planning cycle, including monthly closes, annual planning, and early detection and quantification of risks and opportunities

Support sales planning, including pre-auditing and approving budget line items, assisting with audits, and ensuring the accuracy of trade plans over time

Influence and recommend changes to our ways of working to streamline information flow, efficiency of communication, and improve our “return on energy.”

Required

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another related field

You have 2-4 years of experience in finance or sales planning in the CPG industry

You have experience with forecasting and variance analysis

You are adept at the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (and Power Query and Power Pivot), as well as other data tools like Power BI

You have experience with financial and sales planning tools; Tagetik & Kantar XTEL preferred, but not required

You are a strong cross functional collaborator; you tailor data and messages to different kinds of audiences and know how to deliver information in a way that enables recipients to quickly understand key points

You're an effective interpersonal communicator
