They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee large construction projects, manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Manage construction processes and technical aspects of heavy civil/highway projects from pre-construction to project close-out
Responsible for tracking project costs and budgets, ensuring accurate cost coding, and managing project P&L
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality work
Handle change orders and potential claims, ensuring all variations are properly documented and resolved
Manage RFIs, submittals, and ensure that all work meets engineering standards, codes, and specifications
Promote and enforce safety policies on all job sites
Maintain strong communication with owners and general contractors to ensure project requirements are met
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in heavy civil/heavy highway/site work construction
Experience with at least two of the following: Bridges, Underground Utilities, Highways, Structures, and/or Public Works
Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Project
4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong project oversight and management skills
Proficient in budgeting, cost tracking, and project scheduling
Excellent communication skills for correspondence with owners, GCs, and subcontractors
Ability to manage project teams, subcontractors, and ensure safety compliance on-site
Knowledge of construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
Preferred
Self-performing experience in Bridges, Structures, Asphalt, and Concrete Paving
Familiarity with P6, HeavyJob, HCSS, and Bluebeam is a plus
