Director of HR Operations

They are seeking a Director of HR Operations to provide strategic leadership across Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and people systems, while partnering with leaders to shape people strategies that enhance the employee experience and support operational objectives.

Responsibilities
Provides dynamic leadership, coaching and mentoring to HR staff to achieve the highest standards of operational support as well as retaining and building upon Turning Stone Enterprise's reputation as an employer of choice
Ensures regular staff training, evaluation and service assessment to ensure supportive service to all employees and departments; established metrics and feedback systems to ensure accountability
Works closely and collaboratively with operating and support staff, especially Payroll, Legal and Finance
Provides subject matter expertise and guidance in HR systems for existing and new Nation businesses, including hospitality, gaming, retail, government contracting and new business initiatives
Manages assigned budgets and conducts appropriate forecasting and planning to meet financial objectives; effectively manages resources to meet objectives
Oversees compliance in all assigned areas, demonstrating expertise in applicable labor, wage and hour and employment laws and applicable benefits and tax regulations
Provides strategic leadership regarding HRIS and related systems to ensure optimization, efficiency and appropriate levels of automation
Oversees all HR-related data and records and ensures security and efficiency of document management
Makes appropriate HR information and analysis available to operating departments to support operating, staffing and business planning decisions; supports continued digital transformation with availability of manager self-serve, employee self-serve and analytics tools
Personally reviews regular audit results to ensure accuracy of benefits enrollments, and benefit plan compliance
Oversees the selection process, design, administration and compliance of all benefits programs for Turning Stone Enterprises to include the health and welfare plans, retirement plans, workers compensation and PTO
Manages relationships with selected brokers, consultants and carriers; works collaboratively to conduct regular review of vendor performance for benefits plans and coordinates communications and data related to RFPs for assigned plans and vendors
Schedules, facilitates and maintains records of the Turning Stone Enterprises Benefit Plan/Investment Committee meetings; maintains fiduciary compliance and plan documents for all assigned plans
Coordinates timely plan filings and non-discrimination testing and works collaboratively with Finance, Legal and vendors
Oversees claims reporting and management of workers’ compensation claims; works closely with TPA, consultants and legal department
Provides regular reporting and trending to operational departments regarding work related injuries and incidents and works with risk management consultants, operational leaders, training staff and team member relations team to reduce workplace hazards and provide proactive safety training
Manages compensation administration duties to include offer management, annual pay plans and pay grade/salary range review, competitive market analysis, job development and analysis, merit pay programs, annual and long-term incentive administration and administration and development of variable pay plans (commissions, bonuses, tip agreements, etc.)
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years of HR management/operations experience with a large, operationally diverse organization, preferably in a service or hospitality industry
At least 2 years' experience in each of the following: Labor management/scheduling, HRIS design/implementation/user experience
At least 5 years' experience in developing/administering total rewards strategies
A bachelor's degree in business management or human resources is required, with a Master's in Human Resources or an MBA preferred
Expert knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and other wage, hour and labor laws
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated business and technical writing abilities
Strong math skills with budgeting and analysis experience
Flexibility to provide HR leadership during extended office hours and oversee staff working nights and weekends
Excellent computer skills with MS Office and HCM management experience, preferably UKG, Ultipro, and/or KRONOS
Preferred
