Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with case preparation, from inception through trial and appeal
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
Manage case files, maintain calendars, and track deadlines
Assist in deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination
Handle e-filing in both state and federal courts
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed
Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case-related documents
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal matters
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred
Minimum of 2+ years of defense litigation experience in a law firm setting
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules
Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage
