Techno -Functional Lead (Insurance - Life & P&C, US Market)

Responsibilities
Provide solution and domain leadership for Life and P&C insurance initiatives across the US market
Define and drive strategy, roadmap, and domain led architecture aligned with business goals
Partner with CXOs, business heads, and client executives to shape transformation programs
Lead multi-year, multi-million-dollar insurance transformation programs and portfolios
Act as a bridge between business and IT, translating insurance business needs into scalable technical solutions
Provide thought leadership across core insurance platforms (Duckcreek, Guidewire, EIS, Vitech), digital ecosystems, data, and cloud solutions
Oversee solution design and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
Evaluate and recommend COTS/SaaS platforms and modern technologies for insurance transformation
Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of US Life Insurance (Life and Annuity): Policy administration, New Business, Underwriting, Billing, Claims
Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of US P&C Insurance: Personal & Commercial Lines, Policy Lifecycle, Rating, Underwriting, Claims, Billing
Strong understanding of US insurance regulations and compliance: NAIC guidelines, State regulations, SOX, data privacy, and reporting requirements
Ensure end-to-end program delivery, including scope, budget, quality, and timelines
Establish strong governance, risk management, and reporting mechanisms
Experience in managing projects and program financial health across various parameters
Oversee vendor management, system integrators, and third-party partners
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and customer experience improvement
Qualification
Required
18+ years overall experience
15+ years in Insurance domain (Life & P&C – US Market)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
15+ years of overall experience with significant leadership exposure
Proven experience working with US Life and P&C insurance clients
Strong experience with core insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Claims, Life core platforms)
Experience in enterprise architecture, integration, and cloud-native solutions
Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics, and reporting in insurance
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Proven ability to influence and drive change at senior leadership levels
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking capabilities
Experience leading large, geographically distributed teams
Preferred
Experience in consulting or large system integrator environments
Exposure to InsurTech partnerships and ecosystem integration
Certifications in Cloud, Architecture, Agile, or Insurance (optional but desirable)
