Responsibilities
Act as an individual contributor, working with minimal supervision on complex development and system implementation tasks
Design, develop, and enhance applications using Java, J2EE, and PL/SQL
Implement new functionality across System Test (ST), UAT, and Production environments
Translate business and system requirements into detailed technical designs and working code
Develop detailed flowcharts, pseudo code, UML diagrams, and technical documentation
Participate in design discussions with application and program team leads
Analyze system requirements and propose effective technical solutions
Create and maintain UML diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications
Provide technical guidance on system capabilities, limitations, and automation opportunities
Collaborate with global development and testing teams to ensure successful delivery
Support and participate in system testing, integration testing, and UAT
Revise documentation and code based on testing feedback
Assist with deployment activities and release management
Ensure adherence to SDLC and STLC best practices (mostly Agile, some Hybrid)
Provide hands-on production support, including debugging and issue resolution
Triage and resolve production issues using Jira with immediate response for high-severity incidents
Diagnose system errors, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Support post-production stabilization after go-live
Understand and adhere to ITIL processes, SLAs, and OLAs
Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Strong Java/J2EE development experience
Oracle (PL/SQL) development experience
Experience in application development, implementation, and production support within a healthcare environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex development and system implementation tasks
Experience in designing, developing, and enhancing applications using Java, J2EE, and PL/SQL
Ability to implement new functionality across System Test (ST), UAT, and Production environments
Ability to translate business and system requirements into detailed technical designs and working code
Experience in developing detailed flowcharts, pseudo code, UML diagrams, and technical documentation
Experience in analyzing system requirements and proposing effective technical solutions
Ability to create and maintain UML diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications
Ability to provide technical guidance on system capabilities, limitations, and automation opportunities
Experience collaborating with global development and testing teams
Experience supporting and participating in system testing, integration testing, and UAT
Ability to revise documentation and code based on testing feedback
Experience assisting with deployment activities and release management
Knowledge of SDLC and STLC best practices (mostly Agile, some Hybrid)
Experience providing hands-on production support, including debugging and issue resolution
