Responsibilities
Monitor breaking news and ensure timely clipping, editing, and posting for social platforms
Collaborate with Associate Producers and Producers to edit video and graphics
Create and publish engaging graphics, and photo posts for Instagram and TikTok
Research and fact-check stories quickly and accurately
Support daily marketing efforts and promotional content for social platforms
Identify and flag standout video clips for content
Pitch creative, engaging social media stories (both daily and long-term)
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Executive Producer (e.g., decks, research)
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in social media news production (including internships)
Strong understanding of social media platforms, audiences, and trends
You know how to edit in Adobe Premiere
Expertise in Canva, Figma, and Adobe Photoshop for graphics
Familiarity with digital production gear (cameras, microphones, etc.)
Must work in New York City
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and different shifts for breaking news (evenings, weekends)
Hybrid 3 days in office
Preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
Detail-oriented
Flexible and eager to take on new projects as needed
