Responsibilities
Providing technical guidance and technical support to the Maintenance Supervisor, specialists and craftsmen on difficult equipment repair issues
Providing troubleshooting support and make recommendations to operating units on equipment reliability including emergency work reviews
Participating in Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA’s) and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems
Utilizing your background in the optimization of equipment PM activities and strategies, as well as your general knowledge of relief device preventative maintenance activities
Establishing, monitoring and optimizing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) plans
Assisting in the training and development of in-house maintenance resources
Supporting capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design and construction of projects in accordance with plant design requirements, BASF standards and regulatory requirements
Providing your understanding of mechanical equipment design and of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment such as centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices and compressors of various designs
Qualification
Required
Hold a BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
2+ years of experience in petrochemical maintenance and/or reliability
Experienced in various types of mechanical equipment troubleshooting and problem solving
Understand maintenance and reliability processes, knowledge of vibration analysis, and equipment lubrication programs
Able to communicate effectively and possess strong interpersonal skills
