Smedley Group is dedicated to increasing mass participation in motorsport through their FAT Karting League. They are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their weekend staff crew for various roles at karting events across California.

Responsibilities

Assist at motorsport events as Event Manager

Provide great customer service as Customer Experience Lead

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of karts as Mechanics

Responsible for judicial processing as Race Director / Clerk

Assist with on track incidents as Marshals

Ensure smooth operation of pitlane as Dummy Grid Marshall

Serve as an experienced motorsport timekeeper

Work as driver coaches to pass knowledge on to children

Coordinate pit lane operations as Pit lane Coordinator

Diagnose and fault find software issues as Kart Technician

Required

Event Manager: event organisation and management skills with experience at motorsport events

Customer Experience Lead: lots of energy, enthusiasm and great customer service skills; empathetic, calm and able to work well under pressure

Mechanics: skilled and unskilled mechanics roles with various levels of experience; skilled mechanics should have experience in either race cars, motorbikes or karts

Race Director / Clerk: experienced individuals responsible for judicial processing and implementation of sporting regulations

Marshals: assist with on track incidents, recovering karts and warning drivers via flags or marshal lights; understanding of motorsport rules is important

Dummy Grid Marshall: assist with the smooth operation of the pitlane by ensuring karts and drivers are ready for the next session or race

Timekeeper: experienced motorsport timekeeper, preferably with experience of Alpha Timing

Driver Coaches: passion and understanding of motorsport; good communication skills and comfortable working with children

Pit lane Coordinator: good people and organisation skills; able to work well under pressure and confident to be a team leader; experience in motorsport desirable but not essential

Kart Technician: able to diagnose and fault find software issues
