Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Perform detailed account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
Manage complex month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
Oversee regulatory reporting obligations for governmental agencies and non-profit organizations, ensuring adherence to applicable standards
Conduct thorough variance analysis and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making
Maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements
Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, collections, and cash management activities
Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Support budgeting processes by preparing detailed financial analyses and forecasts using various financial software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards through continuous review of policies and procedures
Assist in technical accounting issues related to revenue recognition, lease accounting, or other complex areas

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping concepts along with account reconciliation techniques
Expertise in financial report writing, regulatory reporting requirements, and financial analysis
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial documentation and collaborating across departments
Knowledge of budgeting processes along with forecasting techniques
Familiarity with technical accounting issues such as revenue recognition standards or lease accounting updates
