The Gas Turbine Repair Engineer will develop repairs for aeroderivative gas turbine components and manufacture new replacement parts, utilizing advanced technologies to restore parts to serviceable condition.

Responsibilities

Development of safe, high quality, reliable and cost-effective repair processes to deliver repaired components

Introduction of new repair processes and full component repair into the repair shop

Quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness to customer/project specific repair scopes

Optimize, streamline, and improve all inspection and repair processes

Work-in-Progress repair quality issue resolution

Repair equipment and tooling definition and fabrication

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Broad experience in aeroderivative gas turbine component repair

Adept at reading and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in printed and digital drawing/model formats

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa

Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

Preferred

Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and applying gas turbine component repair processes or extensive experiences with repair processes on products with comparable alloys, coating systems, and thermal/mechanical fatigue issues

Broad gas turbine component repair experience: LM6000/PE6000/LM2500 preferred

Applied experience with SolidWorks or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications desired

Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a logical and effective manner

Ability to perform research, compile and analyze data, and write clear, concise and accurate reports on complex subjects
