The role involves developing and refining mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving product excellence from conception through production.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems utilizing CAD tools such as SolidWorks and ensuring adherence to GD&T standards
Conduct root cause analysis to identify design flaws or manufacturing issues, implementing effective corrective actions
Create detailed schematics and technical drawings that meet codes & standards for manufacturing and assembly processes
Collaborate with other department teams to integrate electrical schematics, PLCs, and system design requirements into mechanical solutions
Support manufacturing activities by providing drafting support, overseeing CNC machining processes, and ensuring designs are optimized for production efficiency
Participate in project scheduling to meet development milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in quantum engineering or system design are a plus
Proven experience with mechanical design using CAD software such as SolidWorks; familiarity with drafting standards is essential
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, prototyping, and laboratory testing
Proficiency in schematic creation, system integration, and troubleshooting root cause analysis within complex mechanical-electrical systems
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD-based drafting practices
Mechanical knowledge encompassing system design, mechanical engineering fundamentals, and the application of quantum engineering concepts where relevant
Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines
