Responsibilities
Operate as a trusted advisor and build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Areas of expertise include performance management and coaching, counseling, and mentoring people leaders in leadership and team development
Conduct a deep and thorough diagnosis of organizational structure and leadership assessment to ensure the Development function is scaled for long-term success
Coach leaders on effective change management strategies and interventions, such as the Development and implementation of strategies that will enable the function to thrive through periods of change
Act as a trusted member of the leadership team(s) to guide leaders, support team(s), and build awareness and engagement of functional or organizational initiatives and programs
Provide support addressing employee relations and investigation concerns in accordance with internal policies and local/ regional legislation
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and business to ensure effective and timely delivery of HR programs and initiatives like performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement
Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team and functional leaders to execute recruitment strategies and grow talent and technical capability pipelines in support of the business
On-site presence 2 to 3 days per week required
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive HRBP experience in a high-growth environment with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Prior experience working in a small and mid-size biotech organization is a must
Good biotech or pharma business acumen and ability to translate strategic priorities with organizational effectiveness and development, capabilities, and interdependencies
Proven strategic HRBP with a focus on aligning culture with business goals, displaying strong consultative, communication, and organizational skills
Experience building strong partnerships across functional teams and at all levels of leadership with excellent collaboration, influencing, and interpersonal communication skills
Forward thinking, ability to exercise good judgment, and make decisions that are appropriate for the organization
Accustomed to working in a matrixed and dynamic environment where accountability, change, agility, flexibility, urgency, and responsiveness are valued
Good project management skills with the ability to manage big projects or program implementations, including the Development of clear timelines/milestones
Strong analytical capability, effective at diagnosing organizational issues, and demonstrated skill in the use and application of data to address issues
Strive for continuous improvement and embrace innovative ideas in daily work
Preferred
Experience as an HRBP at a similarly sized biotech company, with rapid growth and first NDA / Commercialization
Experience building and implementing processes across the HR function to support cross-functional HR effectiveness
Strong knowledge of HR compliance, legislation, and best practice
