Responsibilities

Design, develop, and refine prompts to maximize the accuracy, reliability, and usefulness of AI model outputs across multiple use cases

Partner with internal product, engineering, operational, and clinical teams to translate business and clinical requirements into effective prompt strategies

Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to review, optimize, and govern prompts used in partnered AI solutions

Work closely with Compliance and the AI Governance / Oversight Committee to review model outputs, identify risks or issues, and adjust prompts or usage patterns as needed

Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and updates related to AI model performance, governance findings, and improvements for internal leadership and external clients, as appropriate

Coordinate with Data and Analytics teams to audit AI outputs, validate results, and support deeper analysis when questions arise related to accuracy, consistency, bias, or performance

Conduct testing, experimentation, and analysis to continuously improve prompt performance and consistency

Adapt prompts to different model behaviors, constraints, and deployment environments

Partner with business leaders, Operations, Clinical teams, and HR on strategies for incorporating user feedback, maintaining and improving models over time, and supporting phased roll-out and adoption of AI-enabled solutions

Help define and operationalize feedback loops to ensure AI tools evolve in alignment with real-world usage, workflow needs, and change-management best practices

Develop documentation, standards, and guidelines to support scalable and consistent prompt-engineering practices

Stay current on advancements in AI models, prompt-engineering techniques, enterprise AI tooling, and responsible-AI practices

Contribute to ideation and problem-solving sessions focused on expanding the responsible use of AI across tango’s platforms

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, Health Informatics, or a related field (Master's preferred)

Demonstrated experience in prompt engineering, applied NLP, or working directly with large language models in production or enterprise settings

Familiarity with market-leading AI models and platforms, including hands-on prompt engineering within tools such as: Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI Foundry, Google Gemini (Enterprise), NotebookLM, and Vertex AI Studio, Adobe Acrobat AI / Adobe AI Studio

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate AI outputs and iteratively refine prompts

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

A collaborative mindset and strong interest in improving healthcare delivery through technology

Experience supporting or participating in AI governance, including model oversight, prompt versioning, and change management

Familiarity with monitoring AI outputs for compliance-related risks, accuracy, bias, and unintended consequences—particularly in regulated environments such as healthcare

Understanding of responsible-AI principles, including ethics, transparency, auditability, and appropriate human-in-the-loop controls

Ability to partner with Legal, Compliance, Clinical, Security, and Analytics teams to ensure AI usage aligns with organizational and regulatory expectations

Preferred

Experience working with healthcare, post-acute, or clinical data and workflows

Exposure to vendor management or joint solution development involving third-party AI tools

Prior involvement in product development lifecycles and agile delivery environments

Contributions to applied AI projects, internal enablement tools, or thought leadership related to responsible AI use
