Beacon Hill's client is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters. They are seeking Associate Attorneys with defense litigation experience to handle local and national accounts, manage litigation caseloads, and prepare for trials.

Responsibilities

Handle local and national accounts throughout the state of California

Independently manage a litigation caseload

Conduct depositions

Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial

Review and analyze discovery requests

Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings

Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing

Trial preparation and support

Maintain accurate time records

Qualification

Required

A minimum of 2+ years of defense litigation experience

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

Must be admitted to practice in the state of California

Experience with motion practice and depositions

Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions

Capable of independent work

Work in an organized and efficient manner

Superior research and writing skills

Ability to multi-task

Ability to analyze complex matters

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following practice areas: General Liability or Product Liability, Complex Litigation, Toxic Tort Liability, or Environmental Liability
