Responsibilities

Interviews loan applicants. Analyzes financial and related data for credit worthiness and merits of loan requests. Establishes terms and recommends approval to senior management. Informs customers of Bank decisions. Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of Loan Policy, including all loan guidelines and exceptions. Review, understand and communicate issues within loan files to the Loan Officers for accuracy and correction of errors

Responsible for coordinating the underwriting of credits, including risk rating assessment, covenant compliance testing, financial statement and collateral analysis. Cross sells Bank products and services

Interacts with customers to maintain and enhance business relationships. Ensures that annual file reviews are completed in a timely manner. Deals directly with existing customers regarding line of credit renewals as well as modifications of existing loans. Provide close contact with clients to establish, deepen, and retain relationships; reach corporate objectives

Monitors delinquencies and evaluates problem loans. Negotiates with customers and offers restructure recommendations for problem loans or recommends legal collection action. Estimates final financial impact to the Bank

Maintains a current knowledge of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative trends. Determines the possible impact on commercial lending activities

Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and the forecasting of loan balances

Required

Bachelor's degree required

Minimum of 7 years of Commercial Loan experience

Certified by a formal credit program or have participated in a bank sponsored credit program

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with customers, employees, senior management, auditors and regulators

Knowledge of and the ability to use current technology proficiently

Good organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail

Effective time management and the ability to work independently in a team environment

Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and professionalism
