This role will be responsible for defining and guiding data architecture that supports cloud-based business applications and involves leading architectural decision-making for structured data systems.

Responsibilities
Define and own enterprise and application-level data architecture for cloud-hosted platforms
Lead architectural decisions related to structured data models, relational systems, and Python-enabled data pipelines and services
Establish and maintain data standards, schemas, and governance practices
Partner closely with Senior Data Engineers to translate architecture into implementation, including Python-based ETL/ELT workflows and microservices
Design data models optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability
Support integrations with downstream systems and external-facing consumers, including Python APIs/services that expose or consume data
Ensure architecture aligns with security, compliance, and enterprise best practices
Contribute to architectural documentation, reviews, and long-term roadmap planning
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in data architecture or related senior technical roles
Deep expertise in structured data systems and relational design
Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and integration (e.g., building data pipelines, APIs, or services)
Hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
Proven experience designing data architectures for cloud-based applications
Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and data governance
Cloud platform experience required (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience strongly preferred
Experience working in large-scale, enterprise, or regulated environments
Exposure to unstructured data platforms is a plus, but not required
Experience supporting platforms used by external stakeholders or partners
