Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of producers overseeing all aspects of social content production
Pitch, develop, and launch original social video stories in collaboration with anchors, reporters, and contributors
Assign stories to producers and provide final editorial approval prior to publishing
Provide clear, constructive feedback on scripts and videos throughout editing and post-production
Approve captions, banners, and platform selection to maximize performance and audience engagement
Identify compelling and newsworthy moments from linear programming for rapid social distribution
Serve as the creative driver for daily content and longer-term tentpole projects
Manage long-term projects from ideation through execution
Act as the primary liaison with show digital producers on YouTube strategy, including headlines, thumbnails, and descriptions
Coordinate with morning and dayside show teams on social content strategy
Oversee the creation of graphics and carousels for Instagram and TikTok
Partner with executives and cross-functional teams including Marketing, DTC, PR, and Promotions on special rollouts
Collaborate with podcast and audio teams on promotional clips and YouTube production
Work across teams on live events, interviews, and special coverage
Develop innovative approaches to repackaging video content for YouTube
Drive new strategies to grow the social audience and strengthen the MS NOW brand
Ensure all content complies with Standards and Legal guidelines
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of producing news and/or political content
Minimum 10 years of experience in writing news and/or political content
Minimum 5 years of experience in digital and social media
Proven success working with talent on video packages and creative digital-first content
Must work in New York City
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and different shifts for breaking news (evenings, weekends)
Hybrid 3 days in office
Preferred
Proficiency with YouTube Studio
Strong command of digital and social media
Experience publishing content from a CMS to social platforms
