Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the loan processing team to ensure timely and accurate loan origination, underwriting, and servicing activities
Oversee compliance with FNMA standards, Fair Housing regulations, TILA, and other federal lending laws
Review and approve loan documentation, contracts, and escrow agreements to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies
Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors
Monitor loan pipeline progress from application through closing, identifying bottlenecks or issues requiring escalation
Provide training and mentorship to team members on loan processing procedures, mortgage servicing protocols, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency
Maintain detailed records of all loan transactions and ensure data integrity within the loan management system
Ensure compliance with all banking regulations related to mortgage lending and financial services
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in loan origination, underwriting, or mortgage servicing within the financial services industry
Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, escrow procedures, and contracts management
Experience with credit analysis, loan processing software, and 10-key typing skills for data entry accuracy
Familiarity with banking operations related to mortgage loans and basic math skills for financial calculations
Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of mortgage documentation requirements including escrow accounts and legal contracts
Ability to interpret complex regulations and ensure organizational compliance
Effective communication skills for training staff and collaborating across departments
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
