Responsibilities
Conducts routine data entry for accounting records and systems including accounts receivable, rebates & credit notes, or accounts payable
Reviews submitted reports or claims for accuracy in accordance with Spartan Chemical’s authorized programs prior to credit or rebate issuance
Coordinates with the plant and customer service on product returns
Assists in the month end close process by reconciling certain general ledger accounts
Calculates and posts journal entries for month end and year end close
Generates reporting at month end for review by the Controller
Performs data analysis in Excel using functions like v-lookup, pivot tables, etc
Performs other related duties as assigned by Controller or CFO
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Applicant must be reliable and highly organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment
Basic mathematical skills
Preferred
Applicable experience or college degree preferred
