UnlockLand Inc is building an AI Operating System for Real Estate Development, enabling developers, investors, and asset managers to optimize real estate projects. The Senior Risk Analyst will provide advanced analysis of portfolio exposure and financial risk, overseeing the development and validation of risk models while collaborating with various teams to ensure data integrity and transparency.

Responsibilities

Prepare and validate daily and quarterly exposure reports, including VaR, IRR sensitivity, and AI model accuracy metrics
Conduct variance and scenario analyses to evaluate how zoning, market, and macroeconomic changes affect asset valuations
Articulate key drivers of portfolio performance and risk to senior management
Collaborate with engineering to improve risk data pipelines integrating inputs from ARGUS, Yardi, and CoStar
Maintain and optimize risk dashboards in Power BI / Tableau; automate reports via Python or SQL queries
Support the design of UnlockLand’s AI Risk Intelligence System, enhancing data integrity and transparency
Quantify market, liquidity, and operational risk across real-estate portfolios
Validate AI-generated valuation and feasibility outputs against historical benchmarks
Support product and finance teams in stress-testing investment scenarios and capital allocation decisions
Partner with investment managers and AI engineers to explain model outputs, assumptions, and anomalies
Communicate results and recommendations to internal stakeholders, investors, and leadership
Ensure compliance with internal risk limits, delegation-of-authority policies, and model governance standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science
4 + years of experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, or financial modeling, ideally in real estate, PropTech, or private equity
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R; experience with Power BI / Tableau visualization tools
Strong understanding of risk metrics (VaR, CVaR, IRR, NPV) and exposure analysis frameworks
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment balancing precision with innovation

Preferred

Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science
Experience with AI model evaluation or predictive analytics
