Responsibilities

Use single-particle cryogenic electron microscopy (cryoEM) analysis of viral glycoproteins to define cellular entry and immune evasion mechanisms
Characterize neutralizing antibodies that can overcome these processes
Leverage structural and functional information to rationally design biotherapeutics and immunogens against viruses
Pursue structural vaccinology projects for HIV and herpes simplex virus
Work closely with the PI to cultivate a successful research program and environment

Required

PhD in biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, or related fields
Expertise in cryoEM structure determination
Strong publication record, including first-author publications

Preferred

Experience in microbiology is strongly preferred
Individuals with experience in microbiology are highly encouraged to apply
